Overview
Welcome to County Louth which is located midway between Dublin and Belfast (an hour's drive in both cases).
Some of the historic sites that must be visited include Mellifont Abbey and Monasterboice High Crosses and Round Tower in the south of the county. In the dramatic Cooley Mountains to the north, legends live on, long after the epic Cattle Raid of Cooley.
Today, the spectacular Cooley Peninsula offers a wide variety of great accommodation and activities. Try walking, cycling, horse riding, hill walking, sailing, fishing or windsurfing, all within easy reach.
