Louth Angling


Killineer is a small reservoir to the west of the Drogheda-Dunleer road two miles from Drogheda, stocked with brown trout. It is fly fishing only.

 

The Castletown River flows into the head of Dundalk Bay. This system holds wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon and is also stocked with brown trout.


The Glyde River rises on the Monaghan-Cavan border and joins the Dee River at Annagassan, County Louth. Its main tributaries are the Tubbermannin, the Killanny and the Lagan Rivers.

 

Sea Angling Oliver Finnegan, skipper of the Sharon Michele has many years seafaring experience and has pioneered sea angling round the Lough and the north eastern coast of Ireland.
