Sli na Slainte, Blackrock
Slí na Sláinte, meaning "Path to Health", is a simple innovative scheme developed by the Irish Heart Foundation to encourage people of all ages and abilities to walk for leisure and good health.
It uses attractive signage at kilometre intervals on established walking routes to help walkers identify the distance they walk. Slí na Sláinte is designed to encourage people to walk more frequently and to enjoy the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.
The Blackrock Slí na Sláinte is a 4km route which starts at the end of the promenade, at the junction with Sandy Lane.
Follow the route up Sandy Lane, past the Community Centre on the left. Turn left at the junction onto Rock Road, passing the first km marker and veer right onto Seafield Road. Turn left at the next junction onto Dublin Road, passing the second km marker before turning left onto Cockle Hill. Continue straight ahead, passing the third km post on Coast Road and back to the starting point at the northern end of the promenade on Main Street.
