Currently under major restoration with the aid of theGreatGardensof Ireland Restoration Fund, these special gardens are being re-awoken. They reveal some of the finest historical water gardens to be found anywhere in the country, dating back to the 11th century. The gardens contain a wide range of magnificent specimen trees and the tulip tree ranks among the largest and finest inIreland.
Today you can witness a unique opportunity to see these gardens under their final stages of restoration. Spend an afternoon strolling through 30 acres which include wildflower meadows, herbaceous borders, a Victorian Flower Garden and restored glasshouse. Experience the peace and tranquillity of this magical place.
