Food Trail

With national and international 'award winning' food products, our local farmers and food producers are highly respected and well established.

If you are a food enthusiast, let our local 'Culinary Artists' take you on a 'County Louth Food Trail'. A one day guided tour to meet the farmers, hear their story and taste their wonderful fare.

This tour will take you on a fabulous scenic journey to sample products from a traditional smoked house, cheese farms, watch the virgin oil being pressed, take a trip in your wellies to see our local oysters grown, taste the chocolate truffles, demonstrations on how honey is brought from teh bee to the jar and how whiskey is mashed. Ending if you choose, with an evening menu in an award winning restaurant with a menu designed around our local seasonal an wild produce.

Tour Coach and guide provided
We will visit a minimum of 4 food artisans per trail.
Informative handouts on each of the artisans and the production process of their product will be provided
Tastings of the award winning products at each visit and cookery demonstration en route are included .
Lunch provided en route
A choice of complimentary smoked salmon or cheese to take home and a range of award winning products to purchase at wholesale price en route.
