Although small, seating 42, it packs a mighty punch; it's amazing how much variety Mark manages to create in his kitchen with the aid of Dave Mc Murray his right hand chef and how well Claire manages the service, they are widely praised for producing what is regarded by many as the most exciting food in the area.

The wine list is another surprise for this place - not long by some standards, but interesting varied and fairly priced. Pricing generally is very reasonable and the minimum charge given on the menu is fair.
