Ghan House, Hotel and Restuarant

Ghan House is a superb 18th Century Country House. They have been recommended as “One of Best 100 places to stay in Ireland’ every year since 1998 – 12 continuous years ~ by food correspondent, John McKenna in his Bridgestone Guide to Ireland.

The restaurant at Gahn House uses the splendid drawing overlooking Carlingford Lough, and takes advantage of the best of local produce - Oysters, Mussels, Cooley Lamb and Beef; the Herbs and Vegetables are from the gardens.

The Cookery School at Ghan House is now in its’ 18th year, and is the third of such established in Ireland– set up by present proprietor Joyce Carroll.
