Culture Night


Drogheda will join Dublinand 30 other towns, cities, districts and counties to mark Culture Night. The initiative, originated in Ireland by Temple Bar Cultural Trust, is in its 6th year and has been funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. Culture Night Drogheda, 2011 has also been supported by Louth County Arts Office and the Arts Council.

 

Drogheda is one of Ireland’s oldest and most historic towns, and is currently going through an exciting process of regeneration. Situated 45 km fromDublin, Drogheda is also very accessible fromBelfastandDublinAirport. Complementing the vibrant arts, culture and heritage scene are a host of restaurants, cafés, traditional and contemporary pubs most of which offer locally sourced produce. Whatever your reason to visitDroghedayou will find many interesting and exciting things to see and do, and are sure to enjoy a friendly and hospitable Irish welcome.

 

Culture Night will take place in Drogheda, Arts and cultural organisations open their doors until late with hundreds of free events, tours, talks and performances for you, your family and friends to enjoy.
